Guillaume Boyer

Guillaume is a longtime tech enthusiast and audiophile. Starting with a fascination with the Sony Walkman and boomboxes as a kid in the early 80’s, he purchased his first high-end system in the mid 90’s at KJ Leisure Sound (now KJ West One): Quad 66 electronics and Sonus Faber Concertino speakers.

With a professional background in sales and a knack for connecting people around these shared interests, Guillaume launched the hugely popular Devialet Chat owners’ forum in 2014. Discussions around cables there soon led him to Shunyata Research, a company that continues to embody what he loves most about technology and audio; or in his own words: “the Shunyata cable destroyed the £7k power cable I was using at the time, at less than half the price!”

As a loyal customer and strong advocate for the brand, Guillaume was among the most disappointed when their UK distribution was discontinued. Encouraged by a friend, he filled these shoes himself and has been the official UK distributor for Shunyata Research since 2016.

Guillaume’s natural inclination to discover - and spread the word about - extraordinary hifi brands has only gained momentum since. Boyer now represents Kroma Atelier, Engström and Bassocontinuo in addition to Shunyata Research. Though these brands come from different corners of the globe, they share a strong sense of identity, presence, a dedication to pure sound and world-class craftsmanship. Simply put: they are brands of sound character.
