WADAX and KJ West One join forces, unleash Studio•Player

The buzz at London’s premier high-end audio dealer KJ West One on Monday was undeniable as we unveiled the WADAX Studio•Player and announced the partnership between these two industry leaders.

“We are thrilled to welcome KJ West One into the WADAX family. Their long-standing trajectory, extensive experience, and profound know-how, combined with their exceptional customer care, make KJ a natural partner to showcase the current offerings from WADAX as well as new and exciting products ahead.”

- Javier Guadalajara, CEO at WADAX

But that’s only part of the story. With Grant Samuelsen of Shunyata Research in the building, this was also a unique opportunity to showcase the brand new Alpha-X and Sigma-X power cords. We have recently called these the most significant Shunyata Research update in our near decade of working together, and they seriously delivered. As we played with - and constantly improved - the system configuration over the course of the afternoon, we ended up with something utterly spectacular.

Two things became apparent very quickly: 1. The incredible quality of Shunyata’s new power cords, and 2. What a powerful tool the Studio Player truly is. Anytime we changed the power cord configuration (switching to Alpha-X and Sigma-X at different points in the system), we were able to make small adjustments to the output impedance of the WADAX to dramatically unleash new levels of audio fidelity.

Our listening session culminated in a demo of Prince’s Avalanche, where the living quality of the vocal performance left the room transfixed.

“I play that track a lot, and I just heard things in there I’ve never heard before… this was Prince standing here.”

- Roman Galustian, Owner at KJ West One

KJ West One has put together many amazing systems, so when the phrase “possibly the best system in the world right now” is being thrown around, you know something truly special is happening. The system featured Magico’s incredible M7 speakers, Soulution 701 power amplifiers and 727 pre-amp, with Shunyata’s EVEREST 8000 power distributor powering the source components, and the Typhon T30 feeding the Soulution mono blocks and grounding throughout by Shunyata’s ALTAIRA.

We now set our sights to October 10th for a WADAX lounge event at KJ West One, when we also welcome WADAX’s CEO Javier Guadalajara and Sales Director Brandon Lauer. Watch this space!
